Aaron Patrick Lee is a tech-native professional with a demonstrated history in health and safety product design, marketing, and support, with experience in communication, leadership, content creation, and emergency management.

Early Life

Born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Aaron quickly made a name for themselves as an activist, organizing their first protest in third grade at Baird Elementary School, where they picketed during recess against group punishment. In the years since, they have remained active in social justice, working on multiple high-profile cases, including the Jared Marcum case, and working with Scouts for Equality to help make the Boy Scouts of America a more inclusive organization. As a child, Aaron was interested in meteorology and had a strong imagination, writing their first book in fourth grade, which received an honorable mention from a local writing competition.

In 2013, Aaron began attending the John Dewey Academy of Learning (JDAL). While at the school, they worked tirelessly to improve it, focusing their studies and projects on educational civics, eventually culminating in a capstone project where they taught Civics to a class of 8th-11th graders, and led a formal inquiry into the Green Bay Area Public School District's policies and disciplinary practices, eventually serving as a consultant on the districts disciplinary framework. While at JDAL, Aaron also served on a panel that advised the Village of Bellevue on tax appropriations, helped create and install five free little libraries across the greater Green Bay area, and made the American Federation of Students, a student union designed to protect the rights of students.

Career

Aaron's career began in 2013, with a cashiering position at the John Dewey Academy of Learning. While there, they helped reduce loss and were named employee of the month three times. The position continued into the next school year when they were named the EPOS transition director. They were promoted to the position after recognizing inventory and transaction management issues that existed with the school store and proposing the transition to an EPOS system. They continued serving in the position until the school was completely transitioned to an EPOS system, which included inventory management and helped the school reduce loss, shrink, and spoilage by more than 40% year over year.

In 2015, Aaron was hired as a Customer Service Associate at Walgreens #0576 in Green Bay, where they quickly recognized as a champion of customer care, helping to reduce loss in the front end, and quickly seeking cross-training in the Cosmetics and Photo Department, becoming the stores only male Cosmetics Associate. While working at Walgreens, Aaron also began co-teaching two university-level courses at the John Dewey Academy of Learning, one on Abnormal Psychiatry, and one on Human Sexuality, working with an area psychiatrist to design and teach the lessons.

By Aaron's graduation in 2017, they were an invaluable member of the Walgreens store in which they worked, helping to cover every weekend from 2015-2017; and they continued as an employee while at university, working during breaks. In 2018, they were hired as a Tier I technician at the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Information Technology Helpdesk, rapidly earning accolades including the fastest employee to earn an employee of the month (in only three months). In less than a year, they were promoted to Tier II technician, serving in a managerial and oversite role for the Helpdesk, helping to oversee Tier I technicians and handle more complex cases.

When the COVID-19 Pandemic struck, they were selected as one of only two student workers deemed essential for the university operations and was named to a new Tier III student position, Director of Remote Support, where they created the policies and procedures for the university's remote support offerings. They also worked with the small remaining crew to clear over 2,500 tickets in less than a month as they aided a university that had five or fewer online classes a quarter to a complete transition to distance learning.

Their experience and education in Emergency Management also led the university to request their help in forming the school's safe reopening plan, a role Aaron excelled in, creating the basis for the document that allowed the university to be one of the first approved to reopen by the Milwaukee County Health Department.

In 2020, Aaron joined the Citizen App as an Emergency Dispatcher, taking emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance from across the United States, and serving an instrumental role in the building of the Citizen Protect product. While a Protect Agent, Aaron assisted thousands of users, and saved several users in peril, including a couple stranded in the desert, who were saved by Aaron's quick thinking and creativity.

In 2022, Aaron joined the Ada App as a Customer Experience Manager and the first member of the U.S.-based support team. While there, Aaron helped build the Ada Tests product offering from the ground up, from conception to market, including UI/UX design, patient experience design, medical record integration and monitoring, E-Commerce setup and operations, patient support, and its eventual sundowning.

Also in 2022, Aaron joined Midwest Furry Fandom Inc. as a First Aider and eventually was promoted to the role of Designated ICS Commander, and Assistant Director of First Aid and Safety, a role which included year-round threat assessment and mitigation, the creation of comprehensive emergency response plans for a wide variety of potential scenarios, and collaboration with local, state, and national law enforcement, and associated command authorities.
